Dear colleagues

We are very pleased to announce that the Wellcome Trust has agreed to provide financial assistance to students presenting papers at the Congress on topics in medical history and/or the history of the biomedical and biological sciences.

Two separate funding schemes have been announced:

  • Scheme 3 is open to students registered at institutions outside the United Kingdom, and offers funds of up to £750 (British pounds).
  • Scheme 4 is open to students registered at UK institutions, and offers funds of up to £250.

The deadline for applications for both schemes is Thursday 28 February.

Details of both schemes, including information on how to apply, are now available from the 'Funding and support' page on the Congress website, along with information on other funding schemes previously announced:

PLEASE NOTE: the Congress organisers do not control these grants, and cannot advise on eligibility or other matters. The funds are provided by the Wellcome Trust and administered by the British Society for the History of Science (BSHS). The appropriate contact address is listed under the 'Full details' link for each call on the website.

Best regards
