The Commission on Arabic Logic is a Commission of the Division of Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science (DLMPS), which is the other half of the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science (together with DHST). DLMPS decided only two years ago to have Commissions in the same way as DHST, and the Commission on Arabic Logic was one of the first to be formed. It aims to provide a forum for the growing international community of researchers on Arabic Logic from the Middle Ages to modern times, at all levels and from all backgrounds. The Symposium at the CHSTM in Manchester is our first formal activity. We intend soon to have our

own website, that will provide a membership list and various kinds of information.
