DHST International Commission on the History of Meteorology

The ICHM is primarily a web-based organization, communicating by email and publishing electronically. We aim to:

Founded in 2001 in Mexico City, the ICHM now has about 300 members from 49 countries. The Commission publishes a peer-reviewed journal,History of Meteorology, and regularly organizes conferences, workshops and panels at interantional meetings devoted to the history and social studies of atmospheric sciences. We had major meetings in Washington D.C., Weilheim (Bavaria), Rio de Janeiro, and Athens.Membershipis free, and open to anyone with an interest in the history of meteorology and weather. We collaborate with Climate History Network.
